Housed in two striking towers inspired by the coral reefs in the seas surrounding Qatar, Rosewood Doha and Rosewood Residences Doha will consist of an ultra-luxury hotel with 185 exquisite guestrooms and sumptuous suites, 173 serviced apartments for longer-term stays and 300 residences available for purchase.
The hotel will be one of the city’s most dynamic culinary destinations with a collection of eight innovative outlets, including a bistro, lobby lounge, coffee shop/deli, three specialty restaurants, cigar lounge and a lifestyle entertainment lounge. Featuring a 1,500-square-meter ballroom, the property will showcase multiple private event venues, anchored around sleek interiors and state-of-the-art technology, which will transform ordinary events into the extraordinary. The hotel will also introduce Asaya, Rosewood signature wellbeing concept, offering total discretion and relaxation, along with a fitness center featuring state-of-the-art training equipment. Starwood Capital Group’s sustainability-driven 1 Hotels brand will debut its U.K. brand flagship, the 1 Hotel London Mayfair, in 2022. Overlooking Green Park, the 184-room hotel will be operated by the group’s management company, SH Hotels & Resorts. The hotel is part of a 260,000-square-foot mixed-use project being developed by London-based Crosstree Real Estate Partners that will include sustainably designed offices and prime retail.

A new luxury Mallorcan escape is opening in the summer of 2023: discover the Son Bunyola Hotel. Joining the three existing villas, the hotel will be the newest addition to the Virgin Limited Edition collection which launches as Son Bunyola Hotel & Villas in 2023.

Chablé Hotels & Resorts, a boutique Mexican-owned luxury hotel company, announces the development of its third property, Chablé Sea of Cortez. Slated to open late-2021 outside of La Paz in Baja California, Mexico, the future project will bring the brand’s signature concept of ‘redefining wellness’ to the country’s Western region. Upon completion, Chablé Sea of Cortez will feature a mix of luxury villas and residences with uninterrupted ocean view. In addition, the property will boast an expansive spa facility, three dining venues, event space, private beach and ocean- front pool, all spread across more than 698,700 square feet.

Untouched and enticing, this part of the world remains relatively unknown. In ancient times, however, it was a busy trading route, used by the Nabataeans to transport luxury goods like silk, incense and textiles. Along the way, they would set up camp and gather around the fire under a starlit night. In 106 CE, the Nabatean Empire was annexed by the Romans, and Red Sea routes overtook land trading routes. Nabatean cities were no longer centres of trade, and so began their decline.
Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea is set to open during the first phase of development of The Red Sea Project, which is well underway and on track to be completed by the end of 2023.

What was once almost to become an Aman Resort, Matt Lowe’s Cay has found a new partner.

Marriott announces plans for first all-inclusive resorts, and the building of the planned NIA resort complex in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico.
The project will include a 240-room The Ritz-Carlton resort (2023 anticipated opening), a 400-room Westin Hotels resort (2023 anticipated opening), a 300-room Autograph Collection resort (2025 anticipated opening), and a 500-room Marriott Hotels resort (2025 anticipated opening).

Six Senses London to Open in the Former Art Deco Whiteleys Department Store
With its proximity to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace, Bayswater in West London is recognized for its streets lined with grand terraces of white stucco houses and garden squares. The hotel, wellness club and spa mark the brand’s entry into the UK and will open with 110 guest rooms and suites, starting from 355 square feet (33 square meters) and celebrating the building’s origins, while making space for modern living. Rosewood’s first property in the Netherlands.
