Creators of exceptional, one-of-a-kind hospitality projects, Zannier Hotels has announced its appointment to manage the redesign of iconic French private island Île de Bendor, facing the city of Bandol in Provence, first brought to life by pastis pioneer Paul Ricard 70 years ago. Much more than just a resort project, the 2026 launch will see Zannier Hotels manage and operate the island destination from start to finish, a natural next step for the brand as it continues to cement its reputation as a management company.

Scheduled to open in spring 2026, The Former Nara Prison, one of Japan’s Important Cultural Properties, will be renovated to become HOSHINOYA Nara Prison. Based on an agreement between Hoshino Resorts and The Former Nara Prison Preservation and Utilization Co., Ltd., the former prison will be reborn as a luxury hotel where guests can enjoy an extraordinary stay in its iconic red brick building with refurbished interiors.

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has signed plans to launch a new luxury resort in Los Angeles, scheduled for 2026 An agreement has been signed with owner and developer Gary Safady, making Bulgari Resort Los Angeles the second Bulgari property in the US, following the opening of the Miami property in 2025, and the twelfth gem in the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection.
Nestled amidst the majestic Santa Monica Mountains less than five miles from Rodeo Drive, the property will be surrounded by 33 acres of a stunning hillside park, natural wildlife and breathtaking views. Plans call for 58 Rooms and Suites and eight private estates, the signature Bulgari dining experience Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, a 10,000-square-foot Spa, state-of-the-art-gym featuring Bulgari’s exclusive Workshop training method, a private cinema and an exclusive eight-seat sushi bar.
The resort, formerly known as The Retreat, will be built in line with the most stringent environmental criteria certified by LEED.

Situated in the heart of Mariner’s Cove at the northern end of the Gold Coast, the new hotel will be a gateway to some of the city’s popular tourist attractions including a range of waterfront restaurants and bars, the Broadwater, and white sand beaches.
The hotel is expected to feature 150 guestrooms and suites, including a planned 2,960-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Suite. Guests will also be able to enjoy refined dining establishments with a signature restaurant featuring semi-opened kitchens, a café and three bars including a lobby lounge, destination bar and poolside bar. Other facilities include an outdoor rooftop pool, fitness center and signature Ritz-Carlton Spa.

Marriott International has confirmed that The Ritz-Carlton, Diriyah will welcome its first guests in 2026. The hotel will feature 195 guestrooms including 34 suites along with a specialty restaurant, all-day dining venue, meeting rooms, outdoor pool, and a fitness center.

Opening in 2026 and spanning multiple coastal locations, Six Senses South Carolina Islands will be conveniently located just a short distance from the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. The hotel management agreement was recently signed by Timothy Pitcher, President of Whitestone, along with partner Redrock Portfolio, Inc., and Six Senses Chief Executive Officer Neil Jacobs and Chief Development Officer Omar Romero, marking the next chapter in a working partnership extending several years.

Six Senses is coming to Grand Bahama as part of a project that will boost local tourism, development, and investment. With social and environmental responsibility at its heart, the new resort and residences will create employment opportunities for Grand Bahamians, encourage sustainability and regenerative activity on the island, and engage the surrounding community while protecting the land for future generations of locals and visitors to Grand Bahama.
Designed by architects 3XN, the resort village will comprise 45 waterfront and canal villas enjoying 2,400 feet (732 meters) of beach frontage and water on three sides. In addition to the guest accommodations, plans are afoot for a signature restaurant, beach venue, boathouse, and pool bar. Future development of the 36-acre site will see direct access to a new marina.

Six Senses is taking its wellness and sustainability formula to a sanctuary in Napa County, an agricultural haven producing some of the world’s most sought-after wine. Named after the natural thermal Aetna Springs discovered in the 1870s, the original resort thrived until the 1970s as a natural spa destination, with Aetna Mineral Water also sold throughout the American West.

Mandarin Oriental will open a luxury resort in Vietnam
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announced that it will manage a new resort with branded residences in Phu Yen province, one of Vietnam’s coastal regions of outstanding natural beauty. The project is scheduled to open in 2026 and will be the group’s third property in Vietnam. Mandarin Oriental, Bai Nom will sit on an expansive beach, surrounded by raised plateaus with stunning views of the coastline and the ocean. The architecture and design will incorporate many natural Vietnamese elements and local cultural references. 72 suites and villas, including 25 Residences at Mandarin Oriental, will spread out across the 29-hectare site. Guest accommodation will be located directly on the beach, and dotted through the hills, and feature private terraces and pools. A variety of cuisines will be offered at three restaurant and bars, all with views of the surrounding nature. A Mandarin Oriental Spa will sit on the resort’s cliff top, providing 360-degree views; indoor and outdoor heat and wet experiences, a lap pool and a sunset pavilion for healthy refreshments will be an integral part of the spa experience.

Montage to Open Two Resorts in Riviera Nayarit in 2026
Montage International and DINE have reached an agreement for the development of both a Montage and a Pendry resort within the 1,500-acre, private peninsula master-development community of Punta Mita in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit. Set to open in 2026, the new resorts will include Montage Punta Mita with branded Montage Residences; and Pendry Punta Mita with branded Pendry Residences.
Guests of both properties will also enjoy access to the amenities of the broader Punta Mita development, including two signature Jack Nicklaus golf courses, five residential beach clubs, ocean adventures through the Punta Mita Ocean Sports team and more.

Rosewood San Francisco will occupy 15 floors of the 61-story, approximately 1.1-million-square-foot building in the new center of the city. Designed by internationally acclaimed Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, the 800-foot super-tall building is the last of greater downtown San Francisco’s skyscraper developments for the foreseeable future, and one of just three projects with a direct connection to the Salesforce Park via a pedestrian skybridge. In addition to the hotel, the tower will feature incomparable residences, office, retail spaces and an expansive pedestrian realm.

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has announced plans for Bulgari Hotel Miami Beach, to open in 2025. The Hotel will be the 11th property in the collection.
