Not having flown SAS since I was a child, was looking forward to flying with them again. Also, wanted to test out the SAS Plus, which is the highest class they offered for this flight. Figured I would get an additional lounge to check out if nothing else.
Boarding went smoothly, and since demand is not high for the Plus seating, I was the first to board. Of course the seating is the typical Euro Business, standard Coach seats with special privileges. All clean but most definitely not a new interior… ready for an update anytime. And of course, no USB plug-in, or IFE, or WiFi… the European carriers are very behind on their short haul fleets, SAS is no exception. The flight attendants were lovely and take off was on time, the flight was well run.
For me, the big bonus for this flight beside the great view of Sweden as we head for Munich, was the Lunch Box. Beside being a cute and clever package, it was really tasty! The Turkey and Salad was a delicious combo, and almost a healthy meal. And the chocolates with coffee was a real nice combo… made me want to go to Malmo and visit the shop.
So I am happy I made the upgrade for the little perks, though it wasn’t really worth the cost. And I left with the hope that SAS can upgrade the overall flight experience, not a bad flight but not great either.
