A list of my most anticipated New Hotel Openings or Renovations for 2027. Most, but not all, are Resorts, many are Luxury or Boutique properties. Hopefully they will be bringing something new and unique to the world of hospitality.

Raffles Hotels & Resorts and NEOM have unveiled plans to debut a new resort in Trojena, a year-round mountain destination located in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Slated to open in 2027, Raffles Trojena will offer guests the chance to discover and explore the region’s beauty.
Positioned among the mountains in Trojena, the Raffles will sport an ultra-modern, ring-shaped design. It will afford views of the surrounding destination from every vantage point, including its 105 guestrooms, which are arranged around the perimeter of the ring. Raffles Trojena will also offer many of the signature hallmarks for which the hospitality brand is known, including its butler service, culinary offerings, and an emphasis on destination arts and culture.

Swire Hotels Confirms New Tokyo Hotel Under The House Collective Brand.
Swire Properties is delighted to confirm that Swire Hotels will open its first luxury hotel outside China under the “The House Collective” brand. Located in Shibuya District, in Tokyo, Japan, the hotel is scheduled for completion in FY 2027. This represents a significant move by the Company to develop its hotel management arm.

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trumpforay into The Balkans comes as his Miami-based private equity firm, Affinity Partners, engages in advanced discussions for investments exceeding $1 billion, in the hopes of reshaping the landscape of tourism and real estate in Southeast Europe. Among the ambitious projects is the conversion of Albania’s Sazan Island, once a military stronghold, into a luxurious Aman-branded eco-resort community.
“The ability to develop 3 miles of beautiful coastline and a 1400-acre island in the middle of the heart of the Mediterranean is unique,” Kushner shared with The Post.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced its latest development in the Maldives. Stretched across a chain of private islands around a lagoon in the South Male Atoll, Rosewood Ranfaru will be situated less than an hour away from Velana International Airport in Male. The resort is slated to open in 2027.
Guests will be able to make the journey to the resort via either a 35-minute yacht ride or a 10-minute seaplane hop. Upon arrival to the resort, travelers will be met with opportunities to embark on restorative getaways, all surrounded by beautiful sunrise and sunset views.

Six Senses Comino to Debut in Malta in 2027.
Six Senses has announced its newest property slated to open in 2027. Located across two bays on a lesser-known Maltese island, Six Senses Comino will have a spa, farm-to-table dining, and an array of cultural, leisure, wellness, retreat and sporting activities. Midway between Malta and Gozo, Comino is a small island with rugged cliffs scattered with wild herbs and flowers. Classified as a Natura 2000 site, its cliffs are a safe resting spot for migratory birds, and its waters protect abundant marine life, making it popular among divers.

On a Castaway Island Undiscovered by Even the Greek Gods, Six Senses Megalonisos will Open with Standalone Pool Villas and Branded Residences.
Six Senses will open its first Greek resort in partnership with Grivalia Hospitality, one of the most significant investors in the ultra-luxury hospitality sector in Greece. It will be located on a southerly white-sand cove on Megalonisos, one of the 10 Petalioi islands and islets with some of the finest undiscovered beaches in the “Greek Maldives”. Six Senses Megalonisos will be a short boat ride from the port of Rafina, just across the mainland from Athens, or Marmari on Evia’s West coast.

Rosewood Hotel Group has announced plans for its first property in South Korea.
The 250-room Rosewood Seoul will be housed within The Parkside Seoul development next to Yongsan Park, with frontage along the city’s along Noksapyeong-daero.
Features will include seven restaurants and bars, 1,800 sqm of events space, and a 4,500 sqm Asaya spa, offering an indoor pool, saunas, a fitness centre and an indoor golf facility.

Azulik AlUla Resort will be an eco-luxury property in the Nabatean Horizon District of the JTT masterplan, tucked into canyons near the AlMutadil Equestrian Village development and Wadi AlFann, an ancient valley that will soon be home to large-scale artworks. The resort will have 76 villas across six categories, plus a spa, VIP club, welcome lounges, all-day dining and a museum.
The resort will promote connection with AlUla’s heritage and the area’s ecology and biodiversity. For example, the development will protect and incorporate nearby ancient rock art inscriptions and utilize a natural system of existing waterways to feed irrigation and safeguard against floods. No private vehicle traffic will be allowed on-property; instead an all-electric mobility system will be provided, along with horse and camel routes, as well as hiking trails for guests to enjoy the surroundings.

Corinthia – a growing family of luxury hotels in London, Budapest, Lisbon, St. Petersburg, and the Island of Malta – has signed a hotel management agreement to operate a luxury resort in the Maldives, due to open in 2025.
Early works on reclamation and the first phase of the development of the resort located on the Kaafu Atoll have commenced and will feature two islands hosting a 73-key resort on the larger of the two and a second, smaller private island for exclusive use.
