Hotel Report by: The Celestial
EXPECTATIONS: High, of course.
The Celestial always found the moniker ‘MO’ to be just so curious when describing a luxury brand… do we think it is MO as in MORE or mo as in SloMo… or even the dreaded… MO as in HoMO? Well the Mandarin Oriental lifestyle or MO is a well deserved namesake.
Staying at only the Mandarin Vegas, The Celestial was incredibly impressed at the Landmark… the service was quintessentially Mandarin… proper, discrete, friendly when needed, distant when expected… when one arrives at the Landmark, one is quickly whisked away to their rooms, there is no need for ‘a check in counter ‘ as they not only picked you up in a lovely 550S… but also knew in advance who you were from the moment they escorted you at the airport… classy and very Hong Kong… but alas, one wouldn’t be Fussy if one doesn’t have a criticism… the one that shall glare at you every time you open the curtains…. the view of the office building across the street… the HORROR. Considering the establishment is not in a high rise like in Vegas, its understandable. What it lacks in view it more than makes up in service and location! And let The Celestial just say… AMBER the 2 Michelin star restaurant at the Landmark… is a MUST.
If I were to to return, and I shall… the Landmark would be the place The Celestial can feel comfortable in being ZenMO…..
