The six bedroom renovated farmhouse is available for private stays, featuring a number of artworks and site-specific installations by our artists. Durslade Farmhouse is located on the site of Hauser & Wirth Somerset and forms part of a group of Grade II listed buildings that date back from as early as 1760.
Renovated by Argentinian architect Luis Laplace, the farmhouse is full of character and bold innovative twists. It celebrates the natural antiquity of the building by combining original fittings with unexpected interiors and vintage furniture. It is completed by unique artworks from Hauser & Wirth’s artists, including a specially commissioned painted mural in the dining room by Guillermo Kuitca.

Make use of the heated outdoor swimming pool, manicured gardens and tennis court, or head down to the lake to enjoy the newly built sauna, hot tub and yoga deck. A wonderful outside entertainment terrace complete with fire pit and fully stocked bar sits beside the house – ideal for alfresco dining or an afternoon G&T. Inside, you will find comfortable sitting rooms, library-style lounges and a beautiful drawing room, all dressed with traditional artwork and antiques while offering the very latest in home entertainment and digital innovations.
Guests can dine on a range of dishes prepared by the in-house chef showcasing locally sourced ingredients – all served in the elegant, wainscot dining room. The home comfortably sleeps up to 20 guests, making it the perfect setting for family holidays, intimate celebrations or corporate retreats. Eight bedrooms offer super king or king beds, seven of which have en-suite bathrooms. The remaining two bedrooms include a twin and a standard double.
