DEN Denver International Airport

DEN Denver International Airport Overview

My first time to DEN Denver International Airport, and I must say a rather nice and efficient. Not the most glamorous in feel, but easy to navigate and plenty of space. Mostly the Hub for United and several of the LCC carriers. Layout is very similar to ATL / Hartsfield–Jackson, and has plenty of room to grow out into the endless fields that surround DEN. A high speed rail connects all the gates and the rockin’ music they play when the train arrive & depart is a hoot. The Jeppesen Terminal’s tented roofs are rather intriguing. Thought that Blue Mustang looks a bit strange to me with its glowing red eyes. A good modern airport.

Tips and Tricks

You are warned… TSA can be a nightmare at DEN! And at the time I was there, TSA Pre was closed on the West side. Use Clear at DEN! You will save a good 30+ minutes getting to and through Security. Made the purchase price for the Clear service worth every penny.

Lounge Data

No major lounges at DEN, though United has 2 United Clubs of marginal quality, both Delta and American offer a lounge but also not having full facilities, such as showers, etc. But if you have access by all means use them, but not worth the One-Day purchase price on any of these. There are also no Priority Pass or other lounges at DEN. The good news, it is a roomy clean and rather modern Airport, so finding a rather pleasant and quite place to wait for a flight should be rather easy.
