Another great boutique hotel, that proves again, the Design Hotels continue to be one of my favorites for Boutique Hotels. Efficient Design (this is Germany) but inviting and comfy. A pleasant and helpful staff. The hotels location is a bit off the beaten path, but is surprisingly convenient… an easy stroll to the Museum Island and Alexanderplatz.
I was upgraded to a larger room, and the view was wonderful on the 6th floor. The park across the street and the Berliner Dom in the background were a nice welcoming to Berlin. The room furnishings were a bit minimal, like they forgot a piece of furniture or two, but that allowed space to spread out. Wonderful large bathroom with very modern fixtures. More than enough room for a couple to spend a few nights. It did have a twee bit of a Business Hotel feel, most likely the hotel was built to service the businesses at Spittelmarkt, where the hotel is located. A cute bar and the breakfast spread was quite good… but I never did try the dinner at the hotel, it looked a bit to empty when I wanted to dine, so I went 3 minutes down the street to Rotisserie Weingrün which was fantastic and highly recommended.
For the price, location and quality, Cosmo Hotel is a great choice.
