With a 2 hour layover in HKG, a shower, a snack, it was off to Gate 65 to hop on my flight to Denpasar. If available I would have done First Class, but the best they offer is a Regional Business Class seating, which is the equivalent of Delta or United’s First Class on their Hawaii flights. The seats were roomy but not glamorous, the lunch (I had lamb) was well prepared and the flight was efficiently run and without incident. I actually dozed off for a bit, since I had just flown in from the states.
I only bring up the Delta and the United comparisons, since they have both so royal screwed up their Hawaii service in the past on very similar flights at very similar costs. Cathay and Singapore make these vacation hopers so easy and pleasurable.
