Virgin Atlantic VS007 – LHR Heathrow ✈ LAX Los Angeles Upper Class

VS007 LHR London Heathrow to LAX Los Angeles Upper Class

Flying Virgin Atlantic is always a pleasure, and I’ve flown this route in the 747-400, A340 and now finally the Dreamliner. So I was quite happy to try out the updated Virgin Pods. The Upper Class product holds up to it’s established standards… above the basic International Business Class but not as fussy as First Class can get. Flying VA has always been a classy & fun event, and this time was no different than any previous flight.

But that said, now time to get fussy… I don’t like that the Upper Class Pods face into the aisle… I really don’t want to see the other passengers, it just feels a bit strange to me at times. I do like to look out the window occasionally, but the arrangement makes it near impossible to do. And I do feel a bit more cocooned in these new Pods, so they are either getting a bit slimmer or I’ve grown a bit since the last time on VA. Hmmm, I think I know half of the answer to this one.

Virgin upper class takes blue fin tuna class to a whole new level… what’s missing is a cone of silence since many of their clients are Chatty Cathys… I do have to say they have one of the most prepared and knowledgeable stewardesses I’ve encountered… dare I say even better than Singapore Air?
