Being a member of the Lufthansa Group gives this smaller airline a bit of extra connectivity to most of Europe. It’s hub at VIE Vienna is extremely efficient and makes an excellent choice for transfers.
The current livery introduced in 2015, looks clean and neat without excessive frill, and the “Servus” on the belly of the plane is a cute touch.
For Long-Haul International flights, Austrian offers an excellent Business Class and Premium Economy alongside the standard Economy Class.
For the solo traveler the “Throne” seat is the best way to fly.
Austrian expands it’s International service to North America during the summer travel season. During the winter season, fewer flights to fewer cities.
