Restaurant Radio – Copenhagen

Review Restaurant Radio Copenhagen Report

With my trip to Copenhagen coming up, Gloria at Vespertine suggested I try Radio if I have the chance. Lucky me, it was a 10 minute walk from where I was staying, and made a perfect first meal in my new favorite food city.

I opted for the 5 Course Menu and Wine Pairing, but also wanted to try the Scallops Course of the Day. I needed a good meal after flying Air Canada, room for improvement on that flight. And I am happy to report that overall this was a great meal. If Radio were heard in LA, I would love to come back anytime, in Copenhagen, this will be one of many great places to eat.

Restaurant Radio Copenhagen: More foam please!

For me the standout dishes were the first two…. The Squid w/ Celeriac & Parsley to start, the squid sliced super thin and ate like an al dente pasta, fabulous. Second came the Cod topped with Pumpkin & Mushrooms, I usually don’t care for pumpkin, but here it was thin sliced and lightly cooked, still having texture. I was impressed.

Restaurant Radio Copenhagen: a bit of desert to finish.

The meal was a great start to Copenhagen, and the wine pairings spot on. The room was a very comfortable place to dine, and the small staff wonderfully attentive. My only criticism would be the over use of foam on the dishes, it appeared to be their fall back technique. And I, of course, basically ordering every main dishes that night, got a good sampling of foamy food. But still a great meal, and I look forward to going back.
