Destination Southern France Provence French Riviera some basic information and travel assistance

I had the extreme pleasure of being treated to a French Road Trip. First hand experience of what the spirit of the Relais & Chateaux experience is all about.

Is it easy to go to Southern France Provence French Riviera

I only had the pleasure of experiencing NCE Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, which was an exceptionally nice little airport. And the Priority Pass Lounge was large and very well run. The roadways in the region are quite well maintained, getting around by auto is quite easy.

Baumaniere le Baux de Provence

Baumaniere le Baux de Provence
Les Baux-de-Provence, France
Country Style Luxury. This is a destination hotel unto itself. The magical setting is the ideal backdrop to the art of hospitality practiced for over sixty years by the family who owns Baumanière. Nothing is more vitally important to them than to provide a generous welcome for a memorable stay. And the main dining room, is beyond fantastic.

Chateau de la Chevre d Or

Chateau de la Chevre d’Or
Éze, France
Quite honestly, this is a hotel that has a wow factor from the moment you get close to the property. A Member of Relais & Châteaux, perched on a cliff in the heart of a medieval village between Nice and Monte-Carlo. The breathtaking panorama includes the sparkling Mediterranean, extending from Monte-Carlo to Saint Tropez to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Gourmets are in luck; the hotel offers enticing dining, including the two-Michelin-star La Chèvre d’Or and Stagioni restaurant for dinner; and Les Remparts and Café du Jardin for lunch. Guestrooms are remarkable, offering classic and modern furnishings, as well as opulent marble bathrooms; there are just 43 guestrooms and suites, so privacy is virtually guaranteed.

Mas de la Fouque

Mas de la Fouque
Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, France
Located in the heart of Camargue’s regional park, this is a casually elegant getaway. Rooms include Gitane (Gypsy) Wagons or a standard modern room. A great place to chill for a few days.

Le Café de la Place Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

Le Café de la Place
17 Place de la République, 13210 Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
Should you find yourself in the quaint little town of Saint Rémy, a good place for lunch is here. In the heart of this village, the food is quite good and the atmosphere spot on. An excellent stop for lunch on your way to that 3-Star Michelin Restaurant for dinner.

Carrières de Lumières

Carrières de Lumières
Les Baux-de-Provence, France
An entertaining exhibition, but what is the true star of the show, it is an installation within an abandoned quarry. If you are in the area, well worth a visit.

Les Baux-de-Provence Frances

Les Baux-de-Provence, Frances
A trip to Carrières de Lumières would not be complete with spending a bit of time in the charming hilltop village of Les Baux-de-Provence. No cars are allowed within the town except for a few delivery vehicles. It can get crowded on holidays, so go early in the day.
