The Mexican Caribbean Coast South of Cancun to Punta Allen. With an upcoming trek into the region, I will be having more to offer shortly.
Generally you will fly into CUN Cancún International, and from there drive or hire a transfer to your destination.
There are a few limited flights to CZM Cozumel International Airport, but this would be convenient only for this staying on Cozumel, which does have several hotel / resort options.
Year Round, a warm and a bit humid. The Rainy Season is mostly between May through November, and not severly hit with hurricane issues. A great winter escape with the weahter being it’s best when most are turning up the thermostat.
Playa del Carmen
Positioned next to the ocean, the accommodations are in 63 rooms, only a few steps from the beach. Belmond is always a grand place to spend time.
Playa del Carmen
Part of the Mayakoba resort complex. Built along a network of lagoons and the Caribbean Sea, the resort’s 128 suites and 8 villas are strikingly modern in design yet crafted from such indigenous materials as to appear born of the jungle.
Playa del Carmen
Though I am not generally an “All Inclusive” resort fan, Grand Velas has done a very good job in making this a much more stylish hotel classification.
Talum
A newer member of Design Hotels, blends in well with that more casual Talum atmosphere.
