OK, this is one of those crazy trips where I went, I can go to Oslo, never been there… and tried to plan it as close to Spring, trying to avoid winter cold. Well, that is not the case, but it will be about 36º F in the high so it’s warming up in Norway. Wish me luck.
Getting to Oslo is no problem, and the airport is quite exceptional… so easy and a treat on the eyes. And right now planning to use the rapid transit connection, since there will be snow. Endless snow, and I do not want a ride into Oslo.
I think the people of Norway may sensible folk. The two best hotels in Oslo (that I found so far) seem quite reasonable compared to the folks who travel the world of the 1%.

I must admit, but this is the reason I wanted to come to Oslo. Rumor is, fantastic. And winter seafood is usually the best in the North. And has since been placed into the “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants”

If you are going to Norway, you need to go here.
I chose to go to Bergen via Flam on the Train. From there a boat trek through a Fjord and on to Bergen. What will hopefully be a cute 2-day trek through a little bit of Norway.
There will be more, so stay tuned.
