The Cayman Islands are an unmatched tropical paradise, with palm trees dotting the white sandy beaches and stunning dive sites off every shore. Strut the streets of the cosmopolitan Grand Cayman, stretch out on the glittering shores of Seven Mile Beach, and venture on to the shallow sandbars of Stingray City. Then unwind with a rum cocktail and watch the blue skies deepen shades as the sun retreats into the horizon.

Meanwhile, the North Sound is home to a neighborhood of stingrays that’s so big, we call it a city. Grand Cayman has many areas of dedicated nature and history.
The larger of the two Sister Islands, Cayman Brac is named for its breathtaking 153 ft. bluff, the 14 square mile island affectionately known as the “Brac” is rugged, charming and filled with some of the Cayman Islands’ most dramatic vistas and wildlife.
At only ten miles long and one mile wide, there may be more peace and quiet per-square-inch on Little Cayman than anywhere else. Little Cayman is about 80 miles northeast of Grand Cayman and about seven miles west of Cayman Brac. Island arrivals are via a small plane at an airport landing strip. In fact, it has never been designated as the official airport of the island, but since the first resident asked to leave his plane parked there, it has evolved into the unofficial one.
You will most likely fly into GCM Owen Roberts International on Grand Cayman Island. There are flights to the other two smaller island airports.
November to June are the best to avoid a possible Hurricane. Other than that, the weather is great year-round.
• February is the coolest month, ranging from a low of 60F degrees to a high of 86F.
• Summer temperatures can reach 85F to 90F degrees.
• Humidity ranges between 68 to 92 percent.
• Hurricane season is June to November.

Cayman Islands has its own currency, the KYD or CI dollar. The fixed exchange rate is CI$1.00 for US$1.25. However, the US dollar is widely accepted around the Cayman Islands at a rate of CI$0.80.
For the general tourist, the Cayman Islands are well policed and have little crime.
None of the islands in the Caribbean/West Indies are completely gay-friendly. But the government of the Cayman Islands has been particularly vocal and unapologetic in expressing its anti-gay attitudes.
Remember, that Cayman Islands is an autonomous British Overseas Territory, and the locals will drive on the Left Side of the road.
