Chef Andre Chiang and his team create dishes that make fine dining a highlight of your journey. While an enticing breakfast can be served in the comfort of your cabin, join us in the two restaurant cars for scrumptious lunches and dinners, and be swept away by the spicy, tangy aromas of Malaysian cuisine.
Food and Wine are inclusive on the Journey. 2 restaurant cars, piano bar car, and observation car with its own bar at the end of the train.
OBSERVATION CAR
Located at the end of the train, with its own bar, this is the perfect place to enjoy cocktails and experience escapism. The Observation Car brings a sense of adventure with elegant laid back interiors paired with natural wicker details and pops of colour. There’s also an outdoor observation area to enjoy the panoramic scenery and breathtaking sunsets.
PIANO BAR
Located in the centre of the train is the social hub – the bar. The design of the bar has been inspired by the vibrant yellow of the Tiger Orchid flower found in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
During the evening the train is a glamorous stage for artists to meet and perform. Enjoy a captivating social scene in the bar car with music and vibrant entertainment. Guests will enjoy a range of contemporary performers combining elements of Nanyang jazz, Malay vintage tunes and Western music.
DRESS CODE
The atmosphere on board is one of relaxed refinement. We are sensitive to the varying wardrobe needs of passengers on long journeys and from different regional backgrounds, and wish our guests to be comfortable at all times. During the day dress for relaxed comfort as you move about the train and embark on excursions. We recommend light cotton clothing for sightseeing. We ask that you respect local cultures by wearing appropriate clothing when visiting religious sites. Evenings call for smart-casual attire with a touch of understated elegance, and we suggest a jacket or dress equivalent for dinner. Please refrain from wearing jeans or trainers.
There are 2 standard 3-night options on your journey through Malaysia. Both are roundtrip from Singapore’s Woodlands Station leaving on a regular basis. Full Private Buyouts are available, and there are special event journeys as well. Excursions are generally offered as part of the journey. Special bespoke experiences are available upon request.
